Meadow Brook Flood Control Project

The $8.6 million flood-control project is expected to end decades of flooding along the Meadow Brook. The brook, a both surface and underground waterway, was 1st designed and constructed in 1955 to carry the waterway through residential areas.

The Project consists of removing the existing 3,500 foot stream and culvert enclosures and constructing a new waterway of approximately 250 feet of open channel and 3,250 feet of new underground concrete pipe and box culvert.

As part of the new underground water way, Vianini is providing approximately 360 feet of 126 inch & 815 feet of 144 inch diamter reinforced concrete pipe. Pipe is manufactured to the AWWA C302 Standard with rubber & steel joints. Each section is produced in 10 foot lengths, weighing up to 31 Tons.
